Digital Product Passport
The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is an EU initiative designed to improve product transparency and support circular economy goals. It requires products to carry a digital record with key details such as origin, materials, manufacturing, environmental impact, repairability and end-of-life options.
Why it matters
The DPP gives consumers access to reliable product information so they can make informed and sustainable choices. For businesses, it enables better traceability, reuse and recycling, while also preparing them for stricter reporting and compliance obligations across the EU. Over time, it is expected to become a central driver of circular supply chains by ensuring that data follows every product throughout its lifecycle.
How Connected Load Carrier supports it
Connected Load Carrier contributes to DPP readiness by linking asset data directly to physical load carriers through the Digital Twin feature. This provides a verified record of each asset’s lifecycle, including usage history and environmental conditions. By structuring and securing data in this way, businesses gain the transparency needed to demonstrate compliance, enable circularity and strengthen collaboration with stakeholders.
