Today we introduce CLC, the new name of Connected Load Carrier. Our new visual identity and positioning reflect how we have evolved from connecting load carriers to creating measurable supply chain value.
Why Connected Load Carrier is now called CLC
The new name gives us a clearer way to communicate what we do today and where we are heading. Connecting load carriers remains at the core of our solution, but the value lies in what organisations can learn from the data those connections create.
Pallets, roll cages, crates and containers move through supply chains every day, yet many organisations still lack reliable information about where these load carriers are, how they are being used and where value is being lost. CLC makes load carriers recognisable at the points that matter and turns the data they generate into reliable knowledge. That knowledge helps organisations reduce loss, improve availability, support compliance, reduce manual processes and make better operational decisions, which is the idea behind our new message: Lose Nothing. Gain Everything.
How CLC turns connected load carriers into business value
We start with the operational question a customer needs answered rather than with a particular technology. Depending on that question, we bring together the appropriate hardware, software, connectivity, installation and service in one solution. Customers can start with a focused challenge and expand to additional load carriers, locations and business cases as the value becomes clear.
"Connecting a load carrier is not the end goal. What matters is what an organisation can learn from it and what it can do with that knowledge."
Davy Baars, CEO of CLC
According to Baars, the new identity reflects that much more clearly. "We help customers start with a real operational challenge, create value from the first implementation and build from there."
As more relevant information becomes available, organisations can move from visibility towards greater operational control and better decision making. Over time, we see this developing into Continuous Supply Chain Intelligence, in which supply chains become smarter as more relevant information is connected and turned into usable knowledge.
Connect with continuity, the brand promise behind CLC
Our new brand promise, Connect with continuity, reflects this longer-term direction. Continuity starts with the first implementation and grows as more relevant load carriers, locations and movements are connected. The aim is not to know the exact location of every load carrier every second, but to create reliable knowledge across the parts of the supply chain that matter.
"Connected Load Carrier described where we started. CLC gives us room to tell the bigger story," says Baars. "We still connect load carriers, but the connection itself is only the beginning. The real value comes from the knowledge it creates and what organisations can do with it."
What the move to CLC means for our customers
The move to CLC is a brand transition, so existing customer relationships, solutions and ongoing projects continue as before. From today, we use the new CLC identity across our website, communications and materials and you can find us at www.clc.io.
